Well this is not a fact as of yet, only a rumor according to a news piece done at <a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/107171-Rumor-High-Definition-Metal-Gear-Solid-Trilogy-Coming-to-PS3">EscapistMagazine</a>. There seem to be rumors floating around that Metal Gear Solid 1 for the PS1, Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater might be in the works and headed to the PS3 system. God only knows how long if there is any truth to it. Among the rumors are that Konami will put all 3 Metal Gear games onto one Blue Ray disc, which would be nice. Konami is also lending the familiar name to its next Contra game being released this February 16th, and it is happily called Hard Corps: Uprising. Being released on Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) this particular Contra game is the prequel to the famous Contra Hard Corps and takes place in the year 2613. <br /><br />Now for the real treat, and I just know your going to love this one. Not only has an interview from producer Kenji Yamamoto been done to find out more details on this new Contra game, but one of the details reveals that yes indeed the Konami code works on it. You heard me. The Konami code works in Uprising. Many Android users have been anticipating this release of PES for Android and finally Pro Evolution Soccer has made its debut. As always Konami uses their own UEFA clubs for their games play system unlike FIFA. According to the post done at <a href="http://phandroid.com/2011/02/01/konami-continues-their-android-push-with-pes-2011/">Phandroid</a> you should receive the same or near quality game play as before with other Pro Evolution titles assuming this version of Pro Evolution is as good as its hand held brothers. Interesting enough, it's said that it will have PS3 quality graphics. And to prove this point Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima showed Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots running on a PSP2 system. You hear right. Hideo commented on the games performance by stating "This game used the model data and environments from PS3, and it was exported directly to NGP," Kojima said, adding "On NGP, we can enjoy the same quality as the PS3." Other PS3 games were also demonstrated showing the ease of portability that has taken place between the PS3 and the PSP2. It looks like it's only a matter of time before other big titles find their way onto the new PSP2 realm. You might not have, since it's a Japanese release with cute characters, something Konami is famous for. Japanese Scribblenauts is getting some character cameos attached to it and among them are the older version of Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Others include cute additions such as Manaka Takane from the Love Plus series, and even the Vic Viper known so well from the Gradius history. Besides having a new camera system, as well as some side quests added, now we know about when the darn thing is going to be released. According to a post located at <a href="http://wegotthiscovered.com/2011/01/24/silent-hill-downpour-coming-this-autumn/">WeGotThisCovered</a> yesterday, Downpour will be headed to your PS3 and Xbox 360 as early as this Fall. Of course, you know how that sometimes goes, so don't hold Konami to that date, or rather time frame. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being more towards Christmas time, but then again I'm just thinking about how some releases work. Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's animated series provides a new storyline this time around and one of the best features Yu Gi Oh! now provides besides faster battles and more cards to use are the multiplayer mode, which allows you to play anyone, anywhere at anytime via the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi connection. Konami is actually asking you the fan for your concept art drawings for the Silent Hill Downpour campaign it's holding which they are naming "Be Buried in Silent Hill!" What does this mean for you? Easy, if you submit your own art of burial sculptures, and Konami picks them for the win, they get rendered into the Downpour Silent Hill graveyard. Not bad. But pay attention because your art must be original and not rehashes of existing Silent Hill characters or other art. What's new in this update for PES 2011, some very cool add on features to boot. First the core design of Pro Evolution Soccer will be improved for more freedom of play, along with the defenses artificial intelligence engine. Other features such as difficulty level settings and the ability to summon Rainbow Flick moves have also been improved in PES. Pro Evolution Soccer this year in its release has seen a second place among its rival FIFA 2011. However PES has held its own giving it a high rating among soccer fans alike. Keep in mind there is also in development a new Pro Evolution Soccer slated for the Nintendo DS system soon next year in 2011. It's nice to see PES make its debut on the hand held market as well as the big consoles. MGS Solid &amp; Liquid is fixing to be a Christmas Eve gift, brought about by none other than CAPCOM, in collaboration with Konami of course. It's going to be a download able quest for the game Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, and it is going to be based on the famous Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. If you complete the MGS Solid and Liquid quest, you will unlock items like Solid Neko Suits, a weapon called Solid Neko Knife, and another item called Infinite Neko Bandanya. Keep in mind that Metal Gear Solid and Liquid isn't the last of this type of quest. CAPCOM and Konami have decided to bring more content of this type, both based on Monster Hunter Portable and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. It seems the official title of this game is Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights. Archaeologist Adventure was the name thought to be but I guess not according to a source done at <a href="http://www.rpgfan.com/news/2010/816.html">RpgFan</a> yesterday. Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights is a tale about a 19th century Parisian archeologist, joined by a pet monkey, Kiki, and a student called Sophie Coubertin. Since this actually is a "archaeologist adventure" so to speak, little is still known about the official storyline of Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights and what role each of the characters will play. What is known is that it has an expected release date of Spring 2011, that is, in Japan. What we need now is a nice long trailer to the game to see what Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights is going to deliver game play wise. Amazon has been doing what is called a Gold Box deal on their site and has discounted various games to a lower price. Castlevania Lords of Shadow is among them. And this time there is even a video. Apparently there has been a Metal Gear Solid and Modern Warfare crossing over parody that's making some buzz located at <a href="http://kotaku.com/5713466/modern-war-gear-solid-3-revenge-of-kotickovich">Kotaku</a>. Now this is hilarious, the video located there is dubbed "Modern Gear" , hence the crossover between Metal Gear and Modern Warfare. I just watched the video and it cracks me up to say the least. I love it when some folks have way too much time on their hands but hey, it's fun for you to absorb. Hideo Kojima is at it again and this time he's posted some screen shots to some very nice Metal Gear Figures. Solid Snake, Raiden, and Kaz are some of the few prototypes that are known so far and the detail and precision within them is very impressive. You can judge yourself from the pic below, and if you head to the source story at <a href="http://www.kotaku.com.au/2010/12/massive-metal-gear-figure-or-tiny-hands/">Kotaku</a> you can see Solid Snake and some individual head figures, as well as a little girl holding the figure of Solid Snake, and that's basically to give you an idea of how big the Metal Gear Figures actually are. No word on how much these figures will cost. There is an upcoming Nintendo 3DS game called Archaeologist Adventure which has some interesting artwork and graphics to say the least and it's set for a release date in Japan for spring 2011. It's said to feature four game play elements that revolve around Event, Battle, Exploration, and Conversation. Now conversations in Archaeologist Adventure will be totally voiced over and their clothes even change depending on the event at hand. This is one of those Konami 3DS games I think we need to see more of. Still waiting on a Castlevania Nintendo 3DS game. I'm sure it will happen. Konami has 2 new games fixing to take off on the Droid phone format and from the looks of them they seem pretty cool. The first being called Mobile Pawafuru Proyaku 3D, and the second called Golfriends. One a baseball title and the other a Golf game. The really neat thing to point out about both Droid games is they are for the Golfriends Android phones and will be glasses free 3D games. Right, no need for 3D glasses on these games. The 14th this week saw a release of X-Men the Arcade game on PSN, (Playstation Network) while Xbox 360 owners get their version the following day on Xbox Live Arcade. X-men Arcade for Xbox 360 will run about 800 Microsoft points, but if that seems like a lot, remember online multi player mode and a few other additions that Konami has added to X Men Arcade make it more worth the points. In Japan however, they are still thriving quite a bit. It's been said that it needs an overhaul even with that, and this is where Konami comes into play. Remember a while back Konami unleashed Road Fighters?, Road Fighters is compatible with a new type of payment system that Konami has introduced to arcade gamers alike. It is called “Paseli” payment service, similar to a points card service only with Paseli, you create an account and buy, manage and use credits from it for your game. Konami's intention with this whole operation is to make Arcades more useful to gamers and create more game use time, thereby increasing profits. Sounds like a nifty idea. Bassett. He's currently undertaking the upcoming horror movie Silent Hill Revelations, something a lot of folks are wondering about. Well that's not the only pie his fingers are in at the moment. Besides working on a Silent Hill movie, Michael J. Bassett is also working on yet another horror that involves a haunted mental asylum at Saint Mary's. This is a film where people become trapped within a misused asylum and their deepest and most fearful nightmares manifest themselves and become very real. One can start to understand why Sony chose Bassett to direct a Silent Hill movie. He certainly has the artistic vision to make a horror film. No word as of yet when either the Silent Hill movie or the one involving Saint Mary's will have a release date.
